Hi,
My name’s Helena Olofsson and I am an experienced, careful and very creative freelancer in translation, writing and proof reading. I have also for many years been active as a teacher in Swedish, English and Civics and composed several study materials in those fields and I am familiar with e-Learning as well. The combination of my pedagogical experience and my writing skills come well to use when I take on an assignment. I am also “computer literate” and am used to do research and work towards a deadline. The fact that I possess quite broad interests makes me a good candidate for several types of translation jobs even if I have to add that the major fields I’m interested in is within the humanities and social studies. I enjoy taking on different kinds of assignments and have experience as a Swedish to English translator for a Swedish web company that sells different products online.
Of course I do also translate to Swedish, my native language. My latest jobs were to translate a casino website to Swedish and also another website for computer services.
Currently I live in China where I work as an English teacher, which is a good way to keep my English language skills intact. Because it’s a part time job I have no problems to combine my work with translations.
