Leading a team of 3 developers for developing a Portal for Reservoir engineers to view performance of Oil fields and Wells. The system integrates with major reservoir management systems including PetrisWinds, Exploration & Production Database, Documentum, GIS, GeoLogs etc. The system provides analytical tools, production performance charts, forecasting charts, blogs, well monitoring watches, engineering journal, and reporting facility. The project assisted the buyers of the department to create agreements for materials. The project included a workflow module for agreement development and a comprehensive report module.
Project: CDMS Annotation Conversion utility (CDMSAC) Role: Project team lead/Requirement Analyst/Developer Client: Contracting Department, Saudi Aramco Oil Company Technology: Java, Documentum 5.3, DFC, Swings, Adobe LiveCycle XPAAJ library, jPDFNotes library, Adobe Livecycle Assembler and Acrobat Professional SDK, C# .Net sockets. Lead the development team for the developing a utility that extract the PDF format annotations (comments) from the Documentum 5.3 Docbase and replaces them with their equivalent XFDF format annotations. To achieve compatibility with PDF Annotation Service (PAS) in Documentum 5.3 by converting PDF annotations to XFDF format. Developed a component to interface with Documentum using DFC, the component provides features like extracting, setting content files, promoting comment versions, updating ACLs, and updating dm_relations.
Project: Integrated Simulation Environment (ISE) Role: Project Coordinator Client: Adv Research Center, Computation Modeling Division, Saudi Aramco Oil Company Technology: Coin 3D, QT, C++, Linux, Windows XP. Integrated Simulation environment manages the Reservoir and Field’s simulation. Project based environment allows user to create Simulation projects, manage various GeoLogs, Grid Files, provide 3D visualization of fields, wells, allow virtual well planning, and submission of simulation Jobs to Saudi Aramco POWERS (Grid computing technology based) simulator. My role includes scope management, project logistics, resource allocation, and Customer relationship management.
Project: ShareK Services (SKS) Role: Project Manager/Lead Architect/Developer Client: Engineering Services Business line, Saudi Aramco Oil Company Technology: ASP.Net 2 Technology, AJAX, SOAP, Custom Workflow Engine, with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (Including Analysis Services for OLAP cubes) with various third party UI/Charting libraries, Crystal Reports, C# based SQL Server 2005 Stored procedures.
Lead/Managed the development team of 5 - 8 developers for the development of a highly complex and major KPI monitoring and Enterprise Project tracking system of more than 10,000 man-hours. Managed the customers’ high expectations, develop extremely flexible architectural designs for ensuring the full extensible corporate application vision. System provides complete project management solution, together with automation of different workflows based on service type of the projects, manages teams, tasks, tasks progress update, knowledge management, full-text searching, OLAP and Business intelligence, Audit trail My responsibility was to architect and execute the project. The salient features of my work include major revision of in-house workflow engine to support complete role based workflow modeling. ACL and Role based security, dynamic organization hierarchy structure, Finite State Machine based rule engine to enable on the fly business rule definition. Template based design with business state automaton; allowed definition of new job types on the fly using GUI based business rule modeler. Various new workflows, security, business rules are also defined based on every template.

Lead the development team for the first phase of the Master Appropriation Workflow project. The project was developed using ASP.net (C#) technology. The project assisted the R&D Center Saudi Aramco to procure equipments and other items after an internal approval workflow. Designed and develop infrastructure components for security and navigation in ASP.net. Navigation engine provided secure URL re-writing solution to avoid security breaches
