Request for a multi shop
Features:
The client would like a Open Source Shop System like osCommerce, xtCommerce, olCommerce or what do You recommend?
In the end there must be a shop with some categories. We create these on our own, of course, so we need only Your
development service to add features to the shop system:
It must be _one_ shop, not more which are separate, but one. But there will be more than one merchants.
Each merchant needs a way to add shop items to the shop. Only a merchant (and the super-admin) can change these items.
The information for each product/item in this shop is simple:
-description (WYSIWYG)
-image upload (there are lots of free solutions for image uploads within WYSIWYG etc. just tell me the best and cheapest solution)
-upload of one X-file
This X-file is what the customers of this shop can buy. So no one (not the other merchants and not the visitors, only admin) can
access this X-file, the merchant uploaded when adding a new item to the shop.
Now the second part of this job: we need a "automatic" payment solution which does not require one to check the bank trasfers.
I guess, the only way to realise this, is the paypal API, for which I could find lots of open source solutions. Now i need You to
connect the paypal extension with the new shop. I.e. a user may visit the shop, choose the X-File(s) he want to buy. When he is
ready, he can go through the common sign-up etc. and can pay via paypal now. When the money transfer was possible/when the
system realises, that the user paid for his order, then the script may automatically send the X-File(s) to him.
So there does not need to be any employee who supports the shop (money transfers) all the day and the shop runs without
interruptions and sends the products (files) just in time.
Then there must be a counter or tracker which makes one see which and how much X-Files have been sold over the shop for each
merchant.
That's it.
You can use open source solutions or solutions written on Your own, but You have to make sure, the scripts are secure (especially
the paypal module) and there mustn't be licences which prohibit commercial use.
Keeping this notice in mind, You can suggest us Your clean solution at Your best price.
The extension may not disturb the compatibility of the shop system. So it must be working e.g., too, if there is a update of osCommerce
or when we want to add an additional extension to the shop.
