Hi,
We need a remote access interface for our on-line mySQL webdatabase www.globalgrant.com/swe. The following functions are needed for the three kind of users listed below;
Type 1 user is an anonymous and unknown person who wants to login to GlobalGrant's database from his/her home or remote location.
Type 2 user is the admin for each city's library. She is a designated person employed by the library in each city.
Type 3 user is the superadmin. He is a designated person working for www.globalgrant.com
A web page with a scroll list of cities (we will provide the list and the basic layout of the page). Each city will have a hidden unique type 1 user login. The type 1 user chooses a city in the list and then input his user number. The routine checks if the city and user number matches. If correct matching the user is admitted to access the webdatabase. If incorrect an error message is displayed (we will provide the error message). The correct logins for each city are stored in an MySQL table in the web-database.
If correct login is used by the type 1 user he/she is allowed to access http://www.globalgrant.com/cgi/swe_new/gg.cgi. All type 1 users in a given city uses the same login. I.E. all type 1 users in Stockholm uses the same login.
An admin page for each type 2 user to add/edit/delete any entries for his own city only. The fields displayed for the admin will be a table with the following fields; city name, library's name, name of admin (type 2 user), e-mail address, telephone, number of digits in the type 1 user number string, positions of the city code in the string, the city code (usually 4 digits),
As an added optional security measure we want the type 1 users only be able to access the login page if they are coming from a designated URL. If this field ("Incoming URL") is left empty no check is made of what URL they are coming from. Number of unique remote accesses from type 1 users per month/year. (see item 5 in this list)
A login function for the admin (type 2 user only) to be able to access his own admin page. Username and password. The admin must be able to edit the fields for his own city only. (Not allowed to add or delete his whole record)
Statistical function. How many remote access login from user type 1 has each city have per month/year.
A superuser login function for the type 3 user to add/edit/delete any items/entries for any city. The city list displayed for the superadmin will be a table with the following fields; city name, library's name, name of admin (type 2 user), e-mail address, telephone, number of digits in the type 1 user number string, positions of the city code in the string and last the city code (usually 4 digits). "Incoming URL". Number of unique remote accesses from type 1 users per month/year/city and total remote accesses from all cities.
The functions must be able to handle and display Swedish national characters åäöÅÄÖ and Norwegian characters åæøÅÆØ as well as other special characters.
