| Description: |
Usually I need to use a lot of Search Engines, like Google, Yahoo, and many, many more... Thus, I lose a lot of time while repeating searches for the same keywords on each Search Engine. That is the reason why I am posting this project...
For example, Dogpile is a free web metasearch engine, and many, many other similar tools are available. However, they do not allow user to choose which are the main search engines used. My dream is to get an app which allows me to choose which are the main search engines that will be used to metasearching (search inside many individual search engines at one). Duplicate results must be eliminated (to avoid redundancy), and final results will be sorted by each main engine rank (order which results appear after making a query). Final results will be exported to a HTML file (which I will open with a web browser).
The app must be coded in Java (to run on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X), and it must be a desktop app with a nice GUI (not a server app).
