| Description: |
I require a customise CLI for the VLC Software to decode multiple IP streams controlled with a repeatable and distributable control file. Additionally some scripting support to manage some elements of the system config
The hardware will be uniform. Linux based x86 system with twin output graphics cards. If the selection of a particular graphics card will optimise the decode your input would be appreciated.
The key objectives are
CLI interface over telnet supporting the following commands as a minimum 1. selection of output matrix format. For example "SET op1=1" <=> single channel to output 1, "SET op2=3 <=> 3x3 uniform grid on output 2, etc. 2. selection of source IP address. For example; "SET ch1=rttps:\192.168.0.114:12345" the number of channels to be unlimited. I understand that the information required here may be more than the address for example the handshake and encode format. 3. assignment of channel to output frame. For example; "SET op1w1=ch3" The structure of the windows to follow a defined pattern. Numbering to start at 1, Top left and proceed across then down. 4. support profiles to be called. For example "CALL profile1" calls the presaved "profile1" 5. support the saving of the current state to a permanent profile. "SAVE profile1" saves the current state to a clear text config file. Must confirm before overwriting. 6. support power on to previous state after power failure. For example the current active state could be frequently saved to an "activestate.prf" that is loaded on power up. This is saves every 30s or whenever a "CALL profile" command is completed. 7. get the current information for systems variables. For example "GET op1" returns op1=2 op1w1=ch3=rttps:\192.168.0.3:12345 op1w2=ch225=rttps:\192.168.0.225:12345 op1w3=ch94=rttps:\192.168.0.94:12345 op1w4=ch12=rttps:\192.168.0.12:12345
~ GET op1w3 op1=2 op1w3=ch97=rttps:\192.168.0.94:12345
~ GET profile1 Echos the profile1.prf
7. eth0 configuration. "SET network" calls an interactive script to set the network parameters for eth0 8. reboot and restart commands. "restart" to kill and restart the services as opposed to "reboot"ing the hardware.
All settings to be in a clear text config file (format to be determined preference for human readable xml) to allow 1. selection of output matrix format. For example op1=1 <=> single channel to output 1, op2=2 <=> 2x2 uniform grid on output 2, output1=3 <=> 3x3 uniform grid on output 1 2. selection of source IP address. For example; ch1=rttps:\192.168.0.114:12345 3. assignment of channel to output frame. For example; op1w1=ch3. The structure of the windows to follow a defined pattern. Numbering to start at 1, Top left and proceed across then down.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
A follow on project will be a gui to create the profiles and or control the system live. However budget for this is not currently available.
