1. Develop a full fledged website that is essentially a directory service for products and services.
2. Site ought to have a home page with the appropriate menus such as About Us, Terms & Conditions, Legal Disclaimer and Submit pages.
3. Submissions are by category and sub-category and users should be able to create new categories if relevant titles are not found to describe their product/service. Site-admin should be auto-messaged when a new category is created.
4. Sort order should be customizable by site-admin
The result pages would have an uniform layout with panels for sorted results as well as ad spaces. Also, a small trivia section or news feed.
5. Submissions should be auto checked for conformity to terms & conditions and users should be notified on the fly (on submit page itself) if a preliminary check detects a violation. Site-admin should be auto-messaged simultaneously.
6. Reports of submissions, add-ons, etc. should be available in MS Excel and/or MS Word format.
7. Submit pages should permit submitters to purchase ad space (add-ons).
8. Mailing lists should be auto-generated for submitters as reminders for terminating periods for their add-ons.
9. A Payment gateway would be needed for the purchaser to buy any of the ad spaces (add-ons).
10. To start with, the project should be fully populated in the Software Category and in the Maps/Charts Category. And up to 8, third level categories in the Music – Instruments category. Data can be garnered from crawlers of existing sites or directories.
11. Similarly, Categories and Sub-Categories should be populated for up to 20 types different from the three mentioned paragraph 10, with up to 5 link submissions, these links garnered from existing sites or directories.
12. An auto-mailer would need to be created to inform the webmasters of the links in paragraph 10 and 11 about this action and invite them to inspect the link and either accept the inclusion or request an immediate removal.
13. In a short time, the process has to be so automated that site-admin is left with moderating or validating random pages.
